Here at CurriesOnline, we understand the importance of knowing exactly what’s in your meal if you suffer from an allergy.
Before placing your order, we strongly advise you to contact the takeaway/restaurant directly to confirm you have an allergy and to ask any relevant questions.
If you don’t have the contact details for the takeaway/restaurant, we can provide them for you.
You can contact us on our e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
Here we have provided you with a list of FAQs below for more information on CurriesOnline allergy policies.
Can CurriesOnline check with the takeaway/restaurant for me?
Unfortunately we don’t cook your food for you, so we can’t risk your health by passing on 2nd hand information. It’s best you speak to the chef at the takeaway/restaurant yourself about exactly what’s going into your food.
How can I contact the takeaway/restaurant?
You can contact us through the e-mail above at any time to enquire and we will pass the contact details onto you. Please make sure you explain clearly that your query is regarding allergen information.
Don’t the menus have all the information online anyway?
The problem with the takeaway/restaurant menus being online is that if they decide to suddenly change their ingredients, then there is a possibility our online menu may be out of date, or that the takeaway/restaurant may not have informed us of any changes as yet. This is why we always recommend you check with the takeaway/restaurant directly yourself.
How do I know that the allergy information on CurriesOnline is correct?
Every takeaway/restaurant has to provide us with an up-to-date menu when they sign up for our services. We then make sure the information on their online menu matches their menu that you receive through your door. We always double check all the information with the takeaways/restaurants themselves before allowing the menu to go live. However, we cannot guarantee the ingredients as the takeaway/restaurant may change them at any time. This is why if they do change ingredients and don’t update the menu, you need to check with the takeaway/restaurant directly.
How do you (CurriesOnline) make sure these takeaways/restaurants comply with the law?
We work closely with takeaway/restaurant owners on a daily basis, as well as other food authorities such as the Food Standards Agency to help takeaways/restaurants stay aware about their obligations to provide the best customer service possible regarding allergens.
You are a food business, so aren’t you required by law to provide all information about allergens?
Of course we do our best to provide as much information as we can on online menus, however the law applies to the takeaways/restaurants themselves because they are independent businesses from CurriesOnline, and they make the food on their premises to provide to you, the customer.
We are always happy to help put you in touch with whichever takeaway/restaurant you choose to order from to ensure your food will be cooked as per your allergen requirements.
Most takeaways/restaurants advise customers to contact them directly regarding any allergy information as they take their customers’ allergy needs very seriously.
Please contact email@example.com if you have any other questions regarding allergy information and we’ll be happy to help.
